But on topic, Origins only has good animation and everything because it's one big commercial. See: Charizard mega evolving in gen 1. I overlook things like jolteon getting one shot by an electric attack because maybe he only leveled his starter like a lot of kids did, but it just turned to shit during that mewtwo fight. XY anime isn't so bad either though it's not very similar to the games.

Everything in XY that is different from the game is a massive improvement (gym leaders' involvement, Wulfric having a mega, everything about Team Flare, Rhyhorn racing being an actual thing etc) so that's not a negative.

Origins was four fucking episodes.

The Ash Ketchum Chronicles have over five hundred and episodes are shat out in like, a week. If the anime made episodes at the same rate it took Origins to even exist, Ash would still be in Kanto god knows where.
