Why is a horse with leg warmers good design?
It's terrible art. The way that the black transitions to red by use of crude squiggly lines that a 7 year old would draw is just one example. It's head is out of proportion with the rest of its body.
Pic related is an example of GOOD pokemon design.

Wow, who would have thought.
Noghorse has a great concept but is poorly executed.

I thought you were talking about rapidash until the bottom of the post, so...
Also literally just a horse with fire for a mane. How is that more creative?

OP I'm the one who originally made this iamge and you're retarded.
It's supposed to look like clay/terracotta. Hard lines are okay when it's actually made of hard material. And its shape is surprisingly detailed for a new mon, they actually drew all the little edges and grooves, as well as asymmetrical wave patterns. Plus its color scheme is subdued. My only minor complaint is the weird nostrils, but again, it's a sort of statue.

its not. The people here just don't want to admit it
