Lucario in BW2. You can catch Riolu so early in both games and the starters are so ass, it's like Game Freak knew people would ditch their starters and offered Riolu as compensation

D/P/Pt's Pokemon selection wasn't terrible, but it didn't help that the early route Pokemon ended up being significantly better than any Pokemon you would find on the next several routes up until MAYBE Eterna Forest. It had good Pokemon like Crogunk or Munchlax or Drifloon, but the Honey tree 'system' was inconvenient as hell, and all the good Pokemon were hidden away and you were pretty much unable to put anyone new in your team by the time any good Pokemon showed up.

D/P/Pts selection was decent, but the distribution was terrible. People complain about HG/SS having bad Johtomon distribution, but Johtomons are just rare, you can have an Aipom and Heracross as soon as you finish the 2nd gym, for example.

They got it right with Gen 5, and also gen 6, I highly doubt any 2 people had the same team when finishing the E4 in BW2, the Pokemon selection was just that good. That's why it's best Gen.

Nobody uses Tyranitar because its only found in the end of the game and takes years of grinding to evolve
