I caught a 670 golbat in my back yard
My strongest mon right now though is a 990 pidgeot

Ya incense increases rate of pokemon already near you, lure increases rate of pokemon you wouldn't normally find near you so both together kind of increase encounters
That's why lure costs more than incense in the shop, cause you get rarer shit

I wouldnt say that, it was with a lure so that might make a difference. Either way, who gives a damn where you get them. If anything make the game trash it's the constant having to restart and the freezing and server shit.
Still a fun game though.

Caught it while walking around my local park today. Still kinda low leveled (7) and i started a little late so I'm pleasantly surprised that an evee (120-180?) went up to there (my 2nd best is in it's 200s, a raticate, then after that I got a few 100s lol)

I found a spawn near my house, but I usually only get one or two per day. Still working my way slowly towards my favorite Pokemon, and I got enough Magikarp for a Gyarados to tide me over in the meantime.

I got a Growlithe lvl 250 or something while I was in line at the local bank. Now is lvl 457 and I can't make it evolve cause it's hard to find them to trade them for the candies.

I was browsing /vp/ when I opened my phone then saw it and freaked out, I went to click it when the gps was buffering and it disappeared. After it completely loaded a few seconds later it reappeared and took 10 berries + 10 ultra balls to cap.

I caught a seel when the only water nearby was a fountain several hundred feet away. Also finding lots of big mons like Rhyhorn or Taurus in the middle of downtown.

Not debunked, pretty well confirmed. However it does seem like it only works if you don't have one. Eg if you've never had a flareon it will work, but if you already got a flareon then this might not help you get another.
