It's not too late. Pokemon GO has done little to push the boundaries of AR, rather it introduced a much wider consumer base to it in a positive way. VR is disappointing the world right now due in no small part to shitty monopolistic managing of hardware and software markets. People are going to capitalize hard on AR and find new ways to apply it and more things to apply it to. Find those startups or projects and invest in them.
