Doesn't it render the whole thing pointless if you're not actively engaged in catching?
If I had a 100% guarantee that I would never miss a ball, wouldn't the game be boring?
If it turns out to not be 100% percent then are they just going to stand there and press the button until the catch happens? That's also not fun.

Ball throwing is the best mechanic GO introduced.

it's for when you can't look at your phone, like when you're driving, at work, etc.
Yeah, the blind ball-throwing feature puzzles me. OTOH, if the only feature was buzzing it'd be overpriced.
That said, they should totally make a smartwatch app for Pokemon-tracking and station-harvesting.
