The game is pretty neat in my opinion, sure the app itself is buggy as hell but other than that, it's a great concept.

I haven't played a Pokemon DS game since Heart Gold / Shadows of Almnia, and I don't even have a 3DS, let alone a Dsi. I'll just stick to this, great tie back to the old days.

Pokemon GO will only survive if they start updating it regularly.

Add new content, perhaps add batches of new pokemon in major expansions like Gen 2 onward, add pvp (Which was advertised) and update the game mechanics a little bit.

The game benefits from being simpler than the math crunch the normal games have become, but it could use some added depth to really make the game shine. Otherwise it won't last too long.

The addition of teams was a brilliant move though. The more passive pvp it has created shows there is a lot of potential for full on pvp. Perhaps pokestops can also host pvp battles there, or passive pvp fights can happy when passing by another trainer. (Pokestops can have full battles, while casual pvp is 1v1 or maybe 2v2)

idk. It just needs a lil more depth to make it have some staying power.
