I think it's pretty funny and silly (in a good way), and all the hate made me really like it.

Only time I've ever used old mons for the first game in a gen was 6. Fuck Kalos. 5 good lines aren't enough, and neither of them were the starter either.

I genuinely adore this Gen from what I've seen so far. Favourite Starter is Rowlet. It's subject to evolutions yet to be revealed, but my team is turning out to be so far:

Rowlet (100% certain)
Vikavolt/Cutiefly
Kiteruguma
Salandit
Rockruff
Mimicyu (100% certain)

There isn't a single Gen 7 Pokémon I don't like.

I generally always try to play with just new gen mons if I can. Always neat to see all the new things on their own rather than relying on what I already know works.

There isn't a single one that I dislike at this point. At worst it's just ambivalence, like towards the new Pikaclone.

SM is the first time I have hated even a single Pokemon.

But as always I only use Pokemon new to a region for main game.

Cutiefly and Drampa have guaranteed spots on my team, and of course my starter Rowlet. I might give bear hug dude a chance, too.

As always, i'll be going in using only the new gen pokemon. I already know what I like in the old gens, time to try the new pokemon out.
