I don't hate Kiteruguma, but I do dislike that it looks so much like a giant stuffed red panda, don't get me wrong red pandas are cute as fuck, but this design is rather odd. I do wish it was more like the drawing in the corner and it didn't look like it was wearing a headband however. Hopefully we'll get gameplay footage of it when CoroCoro releases and it changes my mind on it a little bit.

Both of these are my favorite Gen 7 pokemon revealed so far.

I like the design and all, but the headband ears are kind of a turnoff for me. They just look sort of awkward and out-of-place.

You know what I realized it looks like? A generic japanese mascot character wearing an cheap knockoff of that Umaru hood/cape thing

My only complaints with the design are that it really having no mouth (you see the snout but still) and how the pink just cuts off at the neck and back make it look like it's wearing a really creepy mascot head on top of its normal body.

Give it a pink belly like how a lot of pokemon have sort of flesh toned bellies like a snorlax or a ampharos (but pink I suppose) and a real mouth and the design would be completely fine.

Maybe it'll look better in movement but right now it's fucking unnerving.

My knee-jerk reaction to the bear was that I didn't like it at all and that it looks fake. I like it a bit more now that I know the concept behind it and how enormous it is, but I'm still not keen on the visual design itself. The thing looks more like a cheap knock-off than the actual cheap knock-off Pokemon right beside it.

I warmed up to Pikaboo really quickly and I love it already.

Is there such a thing as "underdesigned"?
That's what I think this panda is. There's just nothing going on here, design wise. Compare it to Beartic, which is simple, but looks good because of a few details, such as the fur and the detail of the frozen beard.

All this panda needs is slightly less balloony anatomy, more fuzz and without the fucking tiara.

I like the bear, I think the issue comes with the sudden jump from black to pink, and the ears that sort of feel out of place. They really do look like >>27130036.

I also think if it had sharp looking claws, but kept the cute face, the contrast would convey the fact that it's actually a very dangerous Pokemon a bit better. Ultimately it's not bad, but I can understand the mixed reaction.

But now that it exists they're forcing it too hard.
After Dark type they didn't do this. There were, what, maybe a dozen dark types in Gen 3? So far about a third of the Pokemon we've seen are fairy type.

And it doesn't even make sense for most of them. This mimic being fairy is retarded. It's allergic to sunlight, and lives in dark caves. Why would it be fairy type?
