I've fixed that rarity chart I keep seeing post, obviously it depends on what region you are in, but gives you a rough idea of how common pokemon are.
Show me what you've got /vp/

Also, here is the overall data based off the straw poll which had at least 94 respondents.

I've seen a couple of grimer, would have thought they'd be in very uncommon or rare.
>>
>>27111633
I'd put dratini in very uncommon and karp in very common. Out of all those uncommon mons, I've seen a horsea. Def depends on where you live.
>>
>>27111867
For sure, I based it off of a strawpoll with a lot of responses. It's definitely regional, but at least it gives an idea of OVERALL rareness - i.e I doubt there are many areas where dratini is as a common as a rattata.
It's obviously far from perfect, but I think it gives a rough idea.
>>
We should have one for coastal and one for landlocked. Golduck is uncommon at worst where I am for vacation.

I'm not sure if rarity is solely level based or in any way location based but I'd say are uncommon. I've seen 2 dratini and 2 zubat in total

Also somehow found Blastoise in my bedroom on my second day of playing, but didn't include Squirtle because I don't have either of his prevos. Starter was Charmander.

I have no clue why but my neighborhood is flooded with Jynx. On a good walk I can get a good 5 of them in about 30 minutes. Drowzee too, every time I boot up the app one of them shows up next to me.
>>
>>27113508
Never seen a Jynx and have only seen a few Drowzee silhouettes. Voltorb and Magnemite seem rare to people, but if I walk a block to the main road in my town they are easily the most common.
>>
>>27113508
Where do you live, anon?
>>
>>27113575
There was a Jinx sighting today at the park and it was pretty amusing to see a bunch of 20 somethings get hype as hell and run off as a massive group to the other end to catch it.

I mean it's not like I wasn't part of that but still.

Obviously some people were making shit up. I don't pretend that it's perfect, for more reasons than just this, but with over 90 people adding their two cents, I'm sure there is a grain of truth.
At least with the most common ones anyway.

There's a shitton 2 minutes away at my nearby park.

Yes, and I have Doduo out the ass. The point isn't about each persons own area, it's in relation to the total. We both have pokemon in our areas that are generally uncommon elsewhere
>>
Northern Virginia is littered with tangela so far as I can tell.
>>
Eevee is the most popular pokemon where I live. I have multiple of each Eeveelution, but only 1 Raticate.

Where the fuck do I find Charmanders if it's uncommon? I find a million of the other two, but this lizard evades me.
>>
>>27116359
I'm the same. Some people here have said they're in their area because they live in really dry areas. You'll need to hope to hatch them.

Where do people get gastly for the most part? I can't find one anywhere.

Is there a full listing of Pokémon available through capture? Or is it just every Pokémon that isn't Legendary/Ditto?

Because I've caught a Golbat and it's not on here.

Only problem with this list is the starters, they should all be rare and Charmander maybe even very rare.

Also seems like some pokemon are more/less common based on region so results may vary. For example, I have seen a ton of drowsee but not one ekans.
>>
I've caught like 4 Scyther but have yet to see a single goddamn Bulbasaur.

Do appearancesgo by geographical location?

Only if you're near water.
>>
>>27111633
this can't be right
i see tangela and pinsir everywhere
i rarely see rattata and pidgey
my everywhere/trash has been doduo, krabby, psyduck, and ufcking meoth oh god fucking meoth is everywhere, i found 5 meoth all standing in the same area, they were all "found" and standing within 10 meters of each other, second time in a row i've gone out on my circuit and came back with 5+ meoth
>>
>>27113575
>Magnemite
I need one of those. It's the only steel type in the game
>>
>>27111633
Interestingly enough, I don't find Ratata very often. I think I've only seen like 3 or 4, and I'm level 8.

I haven't seen a single Weedle or Caterpie, which is unfortunate. Venonat are rare, but Paras are semi-common.

I haven't seen a single Common pokemon besides Ekans (which I've seen a ton of) and Meowth (I've only seen once around my town).

I've seen a few Abra rarely, and I've seen two Charmanders nearby, but there are a ton of Mankey.

Out of Very Uncommon, I've seen Doduo, Ryhorn, Growlith, Sandshrew, Ponyta, geodude, Vulpix, and Cubone. Of all of these, Doduo and Ponyta are the most common, and are probably the most common in the area followed closely by Geodude.

Machop are also very common here, but not to the extent of the pokemon listed above (besides ryhorn or cubone). I've seen three Pinsir, which is nice. Surprisingly, I've only seen Onyx on the "nearby" detector very rarely, despite all the other rock pokemon nearby.

And naturally I haven't seen a single one of the Very Rare pokemon, however I have seen Omanyte on the nearby detector, despite living nowhere near the beach or any body of water.

I have never seen a Squirtle or a Bulbasaur (apart from at the start)

Desert has one S, two S is a sweet meal after dinner. I assume you meant Bulbasaur and not Ivysaur.
Keep trying amigo

>thinking Missingno. would be in Pokemon GO

They're rare, but they can still be found in the wild.

Also, you just can't make a universal rarity chart. I've never seen a single Weedle or Caterpie, while at the same time, I've seen a bunch of Sandshrew and Cubone.
>>
>>27117252

Your point?
>>
>>27117788
It's nothing to do with me, I have seen heaps of doduo and fuck all venonat, it's based off of polling data from /vp/ - it's not representative of any one region, it's a total - most regions are more likely to see pidgey and rattata while most are unlikely to see something like Jynx
Yes, you might see a lot of one, that is good for you because they are rarer to most others.
Fuck
>>
Sandshrews are fairly common in my area. SoCal btw.
>>
I also find a lot of Geodudes and Rhyhorns.

Sandshrew common
Machop very uncommon
Geodude Uncommon
Kabuto and Omanyte are everywhere if you are at a beach, i caught like 20 today

Also can anyone confirm the existence of ditto and is it true that ghastly only spawns at night?
