What's the level cap in this game? What level do you have to be for legendaries to start appearing?

what's a good indicator to when to dodge? i just do it at random and try to hit when i can. but i want to know if there's strategy to it. also, sometimes i notice when a gym pokemon is at the sliver of health, it doesn't take anymore damage. am i going just interpreting it wrong, or does that happen when my pokemon aren't high enough cp?

I think its moves are shit though. Has steel wing for 15 attack (which should be less effective against most types) and dark slash for only 25 attack as its special. Still pretty cool.

I accidentally said crobat when I saw a golbat at a big lure spot and everyone around me freaked the fuck out. Crobat is one of my favourites. A zubat killed my starter in a gen4 nuzlocke, but I caught him and named him Dick, and he carried me through the rest of that game.

You have to train to get its level up. The higher the gym's level, the more Pokémon can be placed there. One Pokémon per trainer in each gym though.

I think the number of slots depends on the gym level. So you have to fight them to make the gym stronger to create an open slot when it levels up. Took me a while to figure it out though.

When you get to a gym with an open slot (ie the gym is level 3 and there are only 2 pokes in the gym) there will be another button that lets you add your pokemon in.

The level of the gym dictates how many pokemon are defending it. A level 2 gym will have two defenders. That's why you need to go to your team's gyms and buff them by training. The higher the prestige, the more work it takes for another team to beat it. Plus, once it has enough prestige, it goes up a level and a slot opens for another pokemon.

Surprised me a bit how strong snorlax is with zen headbutt. I placed my 746 snorlax in a gym today and had some trouble training against it with pokemon in the 900-1000 range. It lasted several hours there in a busy spot (Diagon Alley at Universal).

It's less about people sitting on me for the team I choose and more about choosing a competent teamthat won't cuck me in the end

NYC is Mystic central and though I love the color blue most of all, I have encountered way too many spergs (30+) people on that team. That and it won't feel fun being on a broken ass dominant team.

If you catch multiples of the same Mon, you can use the candies you get from each catch to train/evolve your bros. I always catch and release duplicates that are weaker than my one so I get the extra free candy. Rule of thumb is evolve first then train.

Any confirmation on how to tell what your evee will evolve into?

Why does the game freeze every other time I throw a pokeball?

pretty much tried everything, but game keeps saying searching for GPS. sometimes flashes a red error. It was working perfectly few hours ago

Pro tip: stop evolving. Cut that shit out right now. Just go catch/battle/hatch for a couple days. Then drop a lucky egg, evolve the 30+ evos you should have ready (bugs and pidgeys are best), shoot 2 levels up, go battle gyms with your new badass evos and get double exp there too. I went from level 13 to 17 with this under an hour

I just drove to a national park in Nebraska and found no pokemon. I hiked for 7 miles and only 0.5km was logged. I hate the gps system.

I saw a Ninetails yesterday and chased it around every direction. It stayed at 3 footprints the whole time, appearing and disappearing constantly at random locations. I seriously drove everywhere for it until I gave up because it just kept reappearing and disappearing.

The higher your trainer level, the higher CP pokemon you find. Wait until you get one with a high CP (look at the half circle around it CP number, if it's nearly full to the left side, then you've got a strong one) then evolve it when you get enough candies.

When you evolve it, the evolution will have the same proportion of its CP cap filled in (again: see the half-circle bar around its number), so you save a LOT of candy and stardust to finish maxing it out.

I live in a shit town out of nowhere. But it has 5 gyms.
I went to the city and grinded a bit and then filled all the gyms in my town with my 700+ pokes.
Today I was near a gym walking and saw 4 teenagers trying to take one of my gyms. It took them around 30mins to take it down and added some 200cp shitmon.
I instanty took it back and added a 1300cp snorlax.
I almost felt bad for the guys, but I can't have any rebellions on my town.
