Yes. After beating the game, use the Gamecube Link Cable to trade them to a gen III game and then proceed to do the usual procedure.
So it's possible to get the Johto starters in any gen III ball except Safari and Master.

I think you need Wi-Fi for PBR to use your own Pokémon. And Box is just another way to store your Pokémon and getting some Pokémon with special moves, like Extremespeed Zigzagoon.

Battle Revolution isn't a transfer, it copies the pokemon from your 4th gen games. Anything you get in Colo/XD can be moved up to gen 6 like anything else

Also note that the earlygame in Colosseum is heavily limited in terms of mon selection, so you'd have to make do with Espeon, Umbreon, Misdreavus, a Johto starter of choice, Skiploom/Quagsire and Flaaffy for a while before any of the mons you want show up. Also Plusle is extremely underleveled when joining.

How much are Colosseum and XD like the main handled games? Always assumed they were like the Stadium games for gamecube.

I'm really liking this premise. So the evil team in this game does exactly what some people criticize Pokemon of being about: they enslave creatures and turn them into emotionless killing machines, and your duty is to save them, to heal them by going through experiences with them, similar to how in the main games you help them become stronger.
