I've extensively tested lure modules and incense, and can conclude that they don't actually attract the "Nearby" pokemon, but just spawn pokemon related to the zone you're in.

So if you see a rare mon near you, save the incense and just go hunt the fucker down.

What's the most prestige you've seen in a gym?

Last night I went to a blue gym (I'm blue team) and started training. When I got there, it had 9500 prestige. When I was done, it had 14,000. I left a strong Pokemon and went on my way.

Earlier today I checked it and the gym was still standing. In fact, another blue teamer increased the prestige up to 16,000 and left her own pokemon as well. Not sure what the status of it is now, but i'll find out tomorrow most likely.

My own Gym that I have set up right at my workplace, I've got a 690 pidgeot gurading it. I got it to Level 6 today with 12000 prestige (I think. I have screencaps but phone is charging so I can go back out soon). after I can back from hunting in town it was down to level 4 and 8k. I live in Central Florida and I play Yellow.
There's Blue fucking everywhere. I need to organize a IRL party just to take a gym without wasting my entire inventory (most gyms are fully stocked 18k prestige and 6 pokes), and to be able to hold it for a day so we can drop a full gym otherwise shit won't hold.

Yellow is so fucking hard. I'm kinda regretting going Yellow but at the same time kinda not.
Playing the game on hard mode is just too difficult.

I'd really like some advice on how to progress through this game quicker. I have an issue of getting any pokemon encounters. I have had one in the past day. Even while idleing people seem to have better luck. How should I get my cp up and catch some better pokemon?

I use them when I'm not walking around, like if I'm home alone but I still want to play. Or save them for when you travel a bit and reach an area with Pokemon that you don't see very often.

A good strategy is that, when you reach level 9, use the lucky egg you get for free along with an incense/lure module after going somewhere with multiple Pokemon you've never captured before. You'll get over 1k experience for each new Pokemon you capture, and with the incense you should find quite a few.

Yes, a quick way to level up is by grinding Pidgey and evolving them because they only take 12 Pidgey Candy and it's a guaranteed 500XP for evolving so 1000XP with Lucky Egg.

Yeah, you'll get more later (plus lure modules), and you can always piggy-back off other people's lure modules if you're in the right place at the right time.

Expect more shitmons though, but even shitmons contribute to leveling up. Always capture everything you encounter unless you're drastically low on Pokeballs.

The smaller it is, the better the bonus will be of you actually hit inside the circle. For instance, a full circle will only yield a "nice" and 10xp if you catch it on that throw, but a very small circle will yield "excellent" and 100xp. I don't know if it helps the catch rate though.

Guys pls help, this is driving me crazy. For some baffling reason I can only log in to pokemon go when I'm on a wifi network, if I try to sign in and I'm on my regular 4g mobile network it NEVER goes through, it always hangs on the gyrados loading screen. I immediately switch to wifi and it goes through 100% of the time. The worst part is if I switch off wifi after I'm already in-game it actually keeps working just fine on my mobile network and has no problems...it just refuses to log in for some reason.
This means if I get signed out for whatever reason I'm 100% fucked if I'm not at home to toggle to my wifi to sign back in. I swear I can't find any info on this at all, but I can't be the only one?

So when I see someone with a 900+ Vaporeon and shit, does that mean they started with like a 600 CP eevee? or they trained a low level one with stardust? I can never find any eevees past 200 and I have a billion eevee candy ready to go, just need a good one to actually evolve.

My 188 Eevee evolved into a lvl 382 Jolteon and I powered it up once to 419. I didn't know evolution could have such a scaling effect.
