Check the Pokémon site, they went from Error 502 to "we're fixing our shit." If nothing else, you might be able to log in by tomorrow morning and deal with the crashes and instability everyone else is.

This seems to be happening with Pokemon Trainer Club accounts, since their servers in particular are being overloaded.

I used the username that I wanted on my PTC account. Had I known that Google accounts would get in much easier, I would have used the username on my Google account.

I don't know what to do now. I'm not putting any effort into this god damn game if I can't have the username I want.
