I do think that small patch of sand at the base of the Volcano means something. But with the amount of volcanoes and mountains I see in the map I think one will not be enterable and just be asthetics. Still, Tapu Koko needing a location and the fact that we have a lot more tiny one room caves that only exist for one thing makes me agree with you

I think that the scene we saw in the new trailers, with Tapu Koko coming and insta gibbing the Spearow is part of the intro. Tapu Koko appearing alongside Hala when the skies have dark clouds seems like it'll be later in the game. Or maybe both happen during the same time, or I reversed their orders. Either way, I'm pretty hyped for that.

Mauville and Castelia had the third gyms (i think.) So did Goldenrod. And it was probably 4 or so towns in.

But Jubilife's before the first gym was too early for me.
