I'd rather have a single rival who's a competitive friend who'll still try to kick your ass, like Barry in Sinnoh.

Wally and Barry are my favorite rivals. They're both friendly, but competitive, and each show some good self-growth.

I like every rival for their own merits except Cheren and RSE May/Brendan. Cheren's annoying and feels kinda pathetic. RSE May/Brendan have no real character at all, though at least ORAS gives them some character even if it's mostly seeming to crush hard on the player character.

Two rivals who are buddies. I liked how often the rivals in XY would pop up, but I liked the BW rivals more. If we got Hau and altprotag as our rivals and they's appear fairly often, I'd love it.

also playing as female protag because I like her design better than male protag's, so this'll be interesting.

I honestly don't care as long as they're nowhere near as boring as the ones in XY
