Fantastic choice, anon. even though coloseum predates XD, there's no reason to play them out of order.

I'd suggest grabbing one of the GBC to Gameboy Advance dongles so that you can trade off of XD.

Story isn't as good as Colosseum's.
Game is fun, the animations are very emotive which is a stark contrast to Gen 6's rather dull animations. Gen 1&2 Pokémon models might look like ass since they were copy pasted from Stadium's.
Game itself is rather tough and expects the player to strategise because the difficulty ramps up and the game makes full use of doubles format to punish you with synergic sets (eg: EQ spam with flying partners). Think Emerald's Tate & Liza battle.

Quite a funky & memorable game, though starts off a bit slow.

it's pretty fun. I liked colosseum a bit for the story, but it's great nonetheless. The only really bad thing is that you can't really have a thread about it because of the XD shitpost
