Wouldn't it be fucking useless if it was always asleep? You would HAVE to have moves like Sleep Talk, Snore, etc. And restricting the moveset like that to such a degree is really fucking boring. That should be an option, not a requirement.

Maybe Comatose functions as a Pseudo-sleep status, simply preventing any sort of status to be inflicted. That way, other pokemon can get the actual sleep status, and thus play that snoring animation before every single FUCKING move and be unable to attack that turn.

What if he can't be inflicted with any status except sleep, BUT sleep has no effect since he was already "sleeping" so Komala just battles without ever being afflicted by any status condition
