Pulled up the map so heres my theory
>fire-type island guardian will go to the island based off of Maui because of the volcanoes there

Problem is that shit would only work if the islands are named that going from left to right. The last island would be named Polu, but it is the island based on the Big Island, which has red (ulaula), as it's official color. The color band wouldn't form either on the Pokedex, cosidering Melemele is already shown as the first dex. That's the reason I believe the islands will be Melemele, Akala, Ulaula and Poni.

Well, you start on Melemele, probably go to island to the right of it (Maui), then to the one on the far right (Big Island) and then go to the one on the far left (Kauai). Now the problem is where to fit all the gyms. The Big Island/Hawaii expy seems like it will have at least three or four of them, considering its size when comparing it to the others. I thought the artificial island in the middle was the E4. I can't really see anywhere on the big island that seems like a place they'd have the E4. The observatory and the icy peak are on two seperate mountains, and a path from the Japanese style city goes between them.

So it could go Melemele, top right island, big island, but before you can get to the 8th gym (that I personally think is in the walled off city) you have to do plot stuff leading you to the canyon island.

Now this is based on nothing, but I think you go to the giant altar and witness the Box Legend get summoned by the inevitable evil team, and have to go back around the islands to summon the 4 island guardians in order to fix whatever shenanigans occur.

After that, you go beat the 8th gym and go to the artificial island to beat the E4.

Most likely they'll share the same motif, but the designs will vary slightly. Hopefully they gattai, that would actually give some meaning to their similar design.

This looks like Victory Road to me, with the path behind the ice mountain leading to the observatory where the E4 waits. So you have to go through the icy path and through the ice mountain to get there.

We'll have Misty Terrain and maybe a weather setter. Hoping for Hail but it'll probably be Drizzle

Fun fact, shave ice is originally japanese, but it largely fell out of fashion over there, as I heard it. It was hell for Hawaii for awhile because all the machines had to be bought from Japan and the manufacturers had largely stopped making them. I think they've largely sorted it out by now.
