Why is the art so basic? What happened to sugi's shading

All we've seen for the most part are the 3D renders anyway, which don't indicate much about who made the official art. The 3D models never looked good.

Fuck Sugimori. He's the reason G6 models were colored so dully and ended up looking bland just so they would resemble his outdated 'style'. I'm glad they're ditching it.
