I'm not really sure what else to do right now, so I'm gonna ask you guys for a favor.
A really good friend of mine passed away today, and he was the only friend I really had that played pokemon. Not just that, but for about 15 years we played every release together, playing through the game at the same pace so we couldn't spoil things for each other. We did every kind of run you could think just because we loved playing together so much. We finished as much of each pokedex as possible, and he even used his Pokemon Red Diploma in a school photo.
I'm about to start playing through each gen with a team of his favourites, and I'd love it if some of you could just post some nice pictures if you have any. Some of his favourites were Sandshrew, Butterfree, Ampharos, Surskit, Beautifly, and Altaria, although anything from gens 1-3 would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance to anyone who posts, you're helping more than you know, I'll start with the only relevant images I have.
Cool blog dude.
Why don't you go visit him.

no problem
Ampharos and Altaria are my two favorite Pokemon too.
I lost a Pokemon buddy in September 2005 (so during Gen 3); I was 14, he was 12. He was crushed under a semi truck in a freak accident after school. I still wonder how the driver and his friend who witnessed it are holding up. I don't think it's something they can ever forget. He was incredibly smart and a great competitive player, I think he could have been a Nationals, maybe even World contender if he was alive today.
I hope you find peace and I'm so very sorry for your loss.

That's really sad to hear, it's always terrible when someone has to go that young. I appreciate you sharing that, it does help.
My condolences, OP.
stay strong
My dad dies 2 months ago. All I can say is, life does get better. Cherish the good memories you have. They are priceles.
This is the end of the thread, I suppose; I have to go visit his friends/family. To anyone who posted, thank you really isn't enough, it's great to see the board is still a friendly place.
