You can downgrade a 10.3 but dunno how much progress these guys have made, when i tried it you'd get lots of soft-bricks and sometimes had to update to the latest firmware which at the time was 10.1 or so i think so you'd get unlimited chances, nowadays you only get 1 chance.

It has nowhere near the features that CFW has. Enjoy your lack of homebrew, no NAND backups, not being able to unlock the n3ds cores for o3ds games that normally don't support them, no cheats, no .cia's installing, no emunand, no update proofing, no downgrading, no custom themes or infinite playcoins, no GUI for choosing games as opposed to just cycling through with a button, and GBA games and custom VC are a no-no.

Monster Hunter + SMT combo alone will give you hundreds hours of gameplay with minimal amount of money spent (just any one MonHun is enough and ATLUS games are on sales all the time).

If you want free games, check he version of the console (settings>look at top screen, right bottom corner). If it has the 11.0 or superior (still not released thought, latest is 11.0), you would have to open the console and sold a sd card adapter and some more stuff (sure you have to sold another thing, I just don't know it at all) and then downgrade the console. Otherwise, if the console is at 10,6 or 10.7 you will need a copy of Cubic Ninja or Ocarina of Time + Powersave. If the console has an even lower version (10.5 to 9.0) you will be fine. If its version its even lower you will have to ask on >>>/vg/hbg as the other anon said.
You will still have to take a look there to cehck for the guides.
