Anybody else love normal Greninja but hate this thing? Greninja has a neat concept of being a ninja frog with water shurikens, but this thing shits all over that and makes it into a generic shonen anime powerup. It's not even about stealth and tricks and speed, or even being a frog anymore, it's about making the biggest anime water shuriken explosion to blow back Megas.

I'm fine with normal Greninja too, but this... thing, I know that it's still essentially Greninja but I still kind of hate it. It already took me a while to get used to Greninja's design, but this just kind of blew it.

I hate them both. Regular Greninja would have been great if it kept the bubble motif, but the tongue scarf ruined an otherwise great design. A bubble scarf would have been much better.
Ash Greninja is anime pandering autist deviantart grade trash though.

I really like how the whole protean thing feels like a reference to Bruce Lee's water quotes. Greninja also being the only water starter to become the popular one of its gen and how good it really is sealed the deal for it to be my favourite pokemon. Ash-Greninja is a horrible ugly piece of shit and I hope Greninja gets a proper good mega.
