Iwane only did the second Ash vs Alan battle, it's not like he HAS to do every one of them. He's more tied to Alan himself, and considering he basically animated three consecutive episodes right before the league, it's possible he's been put on TF instead, which will still feature Alan heavily.

To be quite frank, rewatching the Ash vs Shota scenes in the trailer, the only scene that gives me an unquestionably Ohashi/Nishiyama vibe is the one at the end with Ash Greninja absorbing the shadow clones into the Water Shuriken, and maybe Greninja preparing an attack right in front of Mega Sceptile, but not the run-up to him. I'm definitely not expecting them to animate it in full at least. And we don't actually know if they're animating it at all yet.
