Caterpie ad Ledyba got me worried.

My hope for gen7 is that itßs more akin to gen3 in terms of new pokemon. meaning that while some old pokes are included to fill some generic roles, there is also enough new pokes to fill generic roles, as well as all the exotic/rare roles being filled by new ones.

in gen6 we had new pokes pretty much only as the rare/exotic roles, with everything basic being filled with old mons. it was like gen2, but on nostalgia steroids, where instead of just caterpie/weedle being the main early bug complimented by a special-encounter´version exclusive ledyba/spinarak, it was all the early bugs ever plus perhaps a new one thrown in there.

Since we already saw Ledyba (which pretty much confirms Spinarak as well) as well as Caterpie, and then have Grubbin on top of that in the first 2 if not 1 route already... itßs starting to look more like another gen like gen6.

What we do know is that there are 4 Pokedexes, similarly to Kalos' 3. That itself pretty much confirms that the selection is big again, which means there will have to be more old Pokemon than new.
