Buy ORAS and play until you get one of the Johto or Sinnoh starters. You can now trade freshly hatched ones for most any non-legendary Pokemon on the GTS. You can seriously get most of the Pokedex completed that way.

There's also other games like Super Mystery Dungeon and Monster Hunter Generations which will help tide you over until November.

Buy both X or Y and Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire, we've got 5 months until Sun and Moon release so you've got plenty of time to play through the Gen 6 games. If there are any main series games for the DS you never played you could probably save up and buy those too, all of those games could easily help tide your Pokemon cravings over until Sun and Moon release.
