What are some real life concepts that would make a great idea for a pokemon? pic related. Canary in a coal mine, ground flying
>>26761114
coal miners used to take canaries down to the mines with them as carbon monoxide detectors.

yeah giving it a gas mask defeats the purpose. its whole purpose is to die so it can warn the miners. also if you made it a pokemon you cant have it locked in a cage. how would it even be alive or fight anything? without the cage its just a regular bird.
>real life concepts
i dont know about real life. but demonic goat is the only thing that comes to mind. not exactly children's game material.

Fair, I just plucked this from google images, i should've used one where he was wearing a miners hat.
It could also be ghost type

It should be a flying/poison type that gassed miners.

A Bug/Poison type (hopefully with actually good stats) based on the myth that daddy long-legs are actually the most venomous spider, but their fangs are unable to break skin.
The pokemon would not learn any poison type moves naturally. However, if taught a poison type attack by TM, the attack would have a 100% chance of inflicting toxic poison, in addition the the attack's damaging effects.

(And they're not even actual spiders!)
