I'm sill waiting for the part when someone explains to me what the fuck is ACTUALLY wrong with having a trashbag pokemon, a ice cream cone pokemon, a keychain pokemon, a sword pokemon, and the entirety of rotom.
I know I know. I'm gonna get scoffs and looks of disgust and confusion, and no actual answers, but that's just a fucking cop out and you all know it. Now one has ever bothered to explain what the fuck is wrong with having those pokemon to begin with. When in pokemon has it ever been explicitly states or made clear that pokemon would be anything other then MONSTERS?
Don't get me wrong. I don't like the designs, but to point fingers and claim that these designs are an indication of laziness/lack of ideas from the devs, or that later generations are awful is absurd. These designs could have just as easily not been implemented, and that literally invalidates both arguments.
I don't understand /vp/, and I need someone to explain it to me.

Nothing. They're just bad designs.

I would like them to be part ghost to explain how they work, and even the ones that are ghosts can be fucking born from eggs, that will always trigger my autism
rotom and the honedge/magnemite line looks great, vanillite/voltorb line and klefki are meh, trubbish/garbodor looks like shit

Trashbag is cute, its evo not so much, ice cream shouldnt be a pokemon, rotom forms are meh, sword is ok i guess. All in all they are either meh or bad, trashbag was cute tho.

Because we already had A magnet, a Pokeball, Data, Sludge, and whatever the hell Ditto is , as ones from the start
>pokeball pokemon
>death mask pokemon
what's wrong with honedge and rotom?

Ghost types aren't actually ghosts. It's a misnomer. Same thing applies to Grass types.

>a trashbag pokemon
Dont have a problem with this. Through things like Ghastly and Grimer, it's been established that in the Pokemon world, if I leave waste lying around my room, it'll eventually stand up and walk out.
>a ice cream cone pokemon
It's immersion breaking to have a Pokemon that was so blatantly designed after a single man-made object. What also doesnt help is that it's entire Gen is one of sub-par designs allround. It's a bad design in a sea of meh and a few cool ones.
>a keychain pokemon
Same problem as ice-cream. However, Klefki is atleast mechanically interesting because it has the best defensive typing in the game and Trickster, making it one of the best mons at what it does. Gen 6 also has better designs allround, making this one much more forgivable.
>a sword pokemon
Kinda has the same problem of the previous too as well. In concept though, it's supposed to be a Ghost possessing a sword and then you get stuff like Honedge coming out of it's egg as a sword for convenience. Eagislash too has a ton of mechanical intrigue. It's typing, move, ability and entire gimick is totally unique, giving it appeal outside of it design.
>rotom
Doesnt belong on this list. It's an electrical Ghost that can possess man-made objects. It itself doesnt resemble one. It's formes are shells made specifically for it to gain different typings.
