Damn, that sucks. Usually I beat away a pokemon during the first, second, even third encounter without realizing what its second type was. I even ended catching 'mons only be surprised by such a fact.

But now it seems after the first encounter they take it all away and tell you what works against that type combination.

I won't complain about casualizing if we get IVs affecting appearance instead of stats. Or just being stored as arbitrary values. I just want out of breeding hell; not to mention, I've become so divorced from catching pokemon as it's now an extremely unimportant and far back step to having a pokemon to use now.
