It seems that yhey are releasing additional art that shows the Pokemon in action now. The starters all got it, and although the legends didn't at first now we have the artwork of their phases. If you look at the scans you can see Nekkoala spinning around its log, too. I love seeing the extra, concept type drawings. Shows us a bit more character and personality than the standard art and a few seconds of game footage.

Also I just realized that there's a decent chance Iwanko will get a Rock biting move. He might become Tyrantrum's best friend.

They did say that all three starters and Iwanko share a secret. One thing that's notable is that all four make up the four classical elements; Litten, Popplio, Iwanko, and Rowlet could correspond to fire, water, earth, and air respectively. What's more, they could bear likeness to alchemical symbols as illustrated, but it's too far from release to tell.

Nekkoala got 2 artworks. I think they're just doing that with Pokemon now.

Sugimori did this for the first 151 back when, and when you look at the art of them all in action, it gives you such a better idea about their movement and personality than the standard art. Especially ones where they interact with other mons, ala paras and weedle in pic related.
