I think it's cool, Its 3D model makes it look a lot better. Although an evolution would be nice, a mega is much more likely to happen.

Megas were a mistake. Everyone believes that everything just needs a mega now, instead of an actual evolution.

Blame Game Freak for that. They keep designing mons that design wise look like they need an evolution, but stat wise would be broken if they got a permanent evolution due to their stats already going on par with most final evolutions anyway. If they did give those mons permanent evolutions, then the stat increase would have to minuscule.
