I can sort of understand why we still have deposit/withdraw actions.
But why do PP UP/PP Max exist?

Superb input thank you for your contribution.

Tbh I think it might be some sort of weird idea of game balance that has stuck around for really no reason. Making it so you can't use super over powered moves mid game over and over again, but since that doesn't matter outside of competitive anyways, I honestly wish I could give a solid answer on why they stick around.

Yeah its the only logic I can think of as well, but when you have lots of strong 80+ bp moves with 10+ pp it does seem antiquated. Even moreso when ethers and elixirs exist.
As it stands right now pp up/max is just another thing you have waste time getting for your competitive teams. Like a less important form of IVs.

I kind of wish that they'd boost the amount of times you can boost a move's PP from 3 to 5. It might make the 5PP moves a little more viable.Mostly for autistic OCD reasons. 8's still an even number, but it's not as perfect as 5 or 0 so that's why I don't use PP Ups nowadays.
