Just for clarification, Solgaleo, "the beast who devours the sun", is a Steel type because the lion who eats the sun is an alchemical symbol for the purification of metals.
Also a reference to the White Tiger of the West, star nuclear fusion, and the fact that Steel is the closest thing to a true "light type"
>>26587013
Should have been light. Not fucking fairy.
>>26586963
Good to know.
>tfw Full Metal Body is a reference to FMA
test
>>26586963
Huh. This is pretty cool, actually.
>>26588605
Fuck yes! Time to shitpost.
Solgaleo should've been fire/steel
Lunaala should've been dark/fairy
>>26589298
Agreed
>>26586963
Akane, pls.
>>26589298
>4x weak to ground

MEMENTO MORI
IF THE NINETH LION ATE THE SUN
>Yfw solgaleo is weak to fire so it tries to devour the sun, it's mortal enemy
>yfw lunaala is weak to dark so it tries to destroy the moon in hopes of ending the night
I'd kind of love this. Sort of like a reverse Groudon and Kyogre
uh... I thought it was just because of theose iron statues of lions? they're not solely based in asia but they are there.
>When it's the third time someone post this thread
>>26590383
>tries to destroy the moon
>and make the night even darker
Is lunaala literally retarded
>>26586963
>devours the sun
>its ability isn't a Flashfire clone
>>26589996
>NINETH
WHAT DID HE MEAN BY THIS???
>>26590823
9th or ninth, in his limited ability to English
DEEPEST LORE
>>26590383
except kyogre is weak neither to ground nor to fire.
>>26589436
You never see the sun touching the ground. It's avoiding its weakness.
Anyone got a list of all the spoopy, alchemic, occult references lately?
>AZOTH
>AZ in general
>Magearna movie names, especially its creator and his book's infamous Baphomet image
>Litten's sulfur symbol face
>Third eyes of Solgaleo and Lunala
>Beast who devours the sun
>>26588591
>>26596239
Guys, I'm worried about Lumiose City. It's too circular. Something will happen.
>>26590383
Lunala is the "beast that calls for the moon" so it wouldn't try to destroy it. It is weak to Dark so it is the advocate of the moon.
>>26590823
>>26590994Actually, the misspelling is on purpose, it is an anagram."The man on the moon rules the Infinite Time"
>omitting on purpose the fact that it's a GREEN lion who devours the Sun.
Fuck your DEEPEST LORE.Unless shiny Solgaleo is green.
>we've had like four Lion pokemon
>not a single one has had a mane made of fire
how fucking hard is it
>>26597212
Pyroar was as close as we'll get
>>26596239
Best bet to say that Gen 7 will have a heavy emphasis on alchemy?
>>26597049
There are three lions, a red, yellow, and green one. They've all probably been composited into a single lion of no particular color. The red one was the one associated with Sol, the Sun King.
