"The Sun does not "burn", like we think of logs in a fire or paper burning. The Sun glows because it is a very big ball of gas, and a process called nuclear fusion is taking place in its core. I was actually betting on Electric/Psychic and Fairy/Ghost. None of the light-related moves are Fire type. None of the Sun Stone evos are Fire type. Espeon isn't. Solrock isn't. Only Volcarona and sunny weather.

IMO, it's gonna get a unique item or a mega/forme change that keeps its typing but gives it an immunity to fire, emphasizing the idea that it isn't the embodiment of the sun but rather a resident or at least explorer of the sun.
