Maybe certain moves can "evolve" in battle, maybe gaining more power or secondary effects. Like a mega for moves.

I think we're going to be able to pair moves together when we learn a new one. It could buff the next move if it's replaced with same type or blend types for some accepted pairings.

They introduced dual type moves in black and white and grass oath water oath or whatever before that. I think now learning moves is going to allow mixed moves.

Ember + flame charge = some special and some physical.

Ember + flamethrower = flamethrower+

Ember + bite = dark fire fang

Etc.
