Aw, alright. Can I ask a few questions then?
Do you paint it all on one layer, or if not, how do you seperate them? By colour? Do you draw the outlines first and then colour in, or the other way around - or do you go back and forth all the time? And which program/brushes do you use?

I've tried this with SAI last night, using the standard 'Marker' brush and pic related. It either got too smudgy or not smudgy enough. (Your shading isn't smudgy, but I tried to go for that)

I know it sounds like I'm trying way too hard, and that's because I do. Sorry. It's a struggle for me to improve at all, even after 18 years of drawing.

I use paint tool SAI and for the delivery I painted everything on one layer. I don't separate color or anything, I went back and forth filling the color out and fixing lines on one layer

first I make a sketch using the default marker tool with 'fine_flat' texture, then I make a new layer under it and block in colors using either marker or default pencil. after that I merge the sketch layer+color layer and make one more layer on top and start painting over everything, going back and forth fixing lineart and color, focusing on one area at a time.

my advice is just to try and find what works for you personally! take techniques you find comfortable from different places and merge them together into your own thing, don't think about it too much
