As iconic as they are, I only tolerate the Gen l Starters. I suppose the Bulbasaur line are my "favorite", but even then I'm just choosing it because it's the least awful.

As slow as the games are, Gen 4 is my favorite and Sinnoh is the most comfy region. It feels like you're really on an adventure, and the Poketch and making Poffins is fun.

Gens 5 & 6 had a lot of great designs.

I've played Pokemon since the beginning, and I've liked every region. Even with how much I hated Gen 6, Kalos was an alright region.

I love every generation of Pokemon. As far as designs, I'm very accepting. The only designs I don't like are the Gen 5 genies and the musketeers.

That being said, though, I hate every Gen 7 pokemon we've seen so far, excluding Magearna if it counts. The starters just look so bland and uninteresting, I honestly don't see how anyone can say they REALLY like them. As for the legendaries, they look fucking atrocious. I always like to defend the more complex pokemon designs, but they just look like a clusterfuck. Even with Palkia and Dialga, they were meant to look like big, over the top kaiju. The Sun/Moon legendaries just look like they designed them based solely on the grounds that they need to resemble the logo. I'm genuinely worried for the rest of Gen 7.

I completed my Pokedex but know over half of them are hacked. I couldnt be bothered to play that fucking minigame to transfer evertyhing to B/W so I just hacked them in and put them in Pokebank when it came out.

The Poketch is my favorite use of the bottom screen the main series has ever had, even if lots of the apps are filler shit. They got close in gen 6 since the Super Training screen is ALMOST like the party viewer, but there's too much focus on online connectivity and gimmicks. There's nothing like being able to see your party's status, friendship levels, daycare checker, berry checker, etc. right there on the bottom screen.

I've only been playing Pokemon since Ruby. I still haven't played Silver or Gold or Red or Blue, but I have played their remakes.
I love all of the second gen starters, but I like Totodile just a little bit more.
I have a soft spot for Gen IV, and Platinum is my favorite game in the series.
Turtwig is my favorite starter, but I adore Totodile.
I can't hate actually hate any of the starter pokemon, but I'm not a big fan of Froakie or Fennekin's line.
My favorite legendary is darkrai.

I managed to find both Zapdos and Moltres as a kid in Blue and didn't know they were legendaries.

I caught them in Poke Balls.

I've started using PokeGen and PkHeX to give myself my whole team from the start for rom hacks. I dont go overboard, though.
