I... Generally dislike Gen 5 the most. I like the Pokemon a lot, though. Volcarona and Ferrothorn are some of my top favorite pokemon.

But... The pacing is fucking awful (This is more for BW than BW2 but those aren't great either), the region is terribly designed (This is the worst sin of Unova) and it's got the worst fucking starters ever. Usually at least there is one starter in a generation (They can't all be glorious like Hoenn's starters) that is worth it but none of them are at all

X&Y... Not an improvement on story and the newer Pokemon weren't amazing for the most part but everything else about it was better. Since I couldn't even bring myself to finish B&W and I marathonned through BW2 in order to move my Pearl Pokemon up to X, I found myself often encountering BW Pokemon for the first time within X&Y and basically lumping them together.
