Not actually too sure why, the Leaf Green I took was eaten by my dog the same day I took it too. I did give back the Emerald like 5 years later, but just pretended like I had my own copy the whole time.

My friend got a Japanese pkmn Gold cart somehow and didn't want to deal with the non-English so he gave it to me. I played Silver so much, I didn't need translations.

I went through an angsty theif phase a few years back while I was in my late teens.
Broke into this old 1980's ford because we saw a backpack on the rear seats.
Turns out the guy who owned the car loved Pokemon because he had 2 og 3ds's, a DS lite and a fuckton of games. One of his carts had a 500+ hour save file and a few shinies and tonnes of other good shit on it.

There was this one guy in this after school club I went to back in 2003 when I was a kid who was a total smug cunt because his parents had shitloads of cash.

He had the latest versions of the GBA (Tribal, NES, SP) and those really rare Yu-Gi-Oh Cards worth $30 just so he can flaunt around his 'superiority' to everyone even though everyone thinks he's an asshole.

One day he 'borrowed' my copy of That Pokemon TCG on gameboy and a month later I wanted it back but the faggot lied right in front of his Mom who looked pissed off if he did lie about stealing my game that I never got back until...

During lunch when there was a day at the club to see Shrek 2 or something, I snuck into his bag and deleted ALL of his data on his Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon and other shit he had on his PS2 such as 100% completing FFX. Remember he was a completionist in all of his games equating over 100 hours on each game.

His fucking reaction seeing all his hard work gone was priceless. His face bright red like magma shouting at all his friends and the club staff had to restrain him from screaming at people.

Eventually I asked him and then got my game back.

I stole my friend's copy of emerald and another friend's emerald guide when I was in middle school. I feel really awful about it and I wish I had never stolen those things. I found a copy of platinum and some other random games inside of a jacket i bought at a thrift store recently.

Got Pearl, Platinum, Black and White 2 in all of their original boxes for $15 at a garage sale last year. One of the best finds I've ever had, also played at the local venue that night
