yers
OP is complaining, and I had this same complain a few days ago in here, that English speakers (not all of them but a big majority) pronounce it like "pokeymon" or "pokee-mon" or some retarded shit with a sharp e sound.
Why in the world won't everybody pronounce it pocke(t)mon? Since it literally comes from the word pocket...
>>26366720
Worst is: "Polkamon" / "Poke-uh-mon"
>>26366720
Well gee, that's what happens when you put an accent above the e.

Tell me about it!

If you turn subtitles on, it literally says polka mon(ths)
Also, side note: it's annoying as FUCK that (almost) everybody keeps saying pokémonS when pokémon is already the plural.
>>26366806
"Po-key-mon" would be "pokēmon"
"Pokémon" is "po-kay-mon"
>>26366834
Actually it depends on the language of the word it's used in.
In chinese it's a sound like eek, without the k obviously. Whereas in French it sounds like Fonzie.
Jap: "Pokemon"
English Speaker: "HEY JUST SAID POKAY"
Other English Speaker: "NO YOU RETARD HE SAID POKEH"
