OP is complaining, and I had this same complain a few days ago in here, that English speakers (not all of them but a big majority) pronounce it like "pokeymon" or "pokee-mon" or some retarded shit with a sharp e sound.
Why in the world won't everybody pronounce it pocke(t)mon? Since it literally comes from the word pocket...

Actually it depends on the language of the word it's used in.

In chinese it's a sound like eek, without the k obviously. Whereas in French it sounds like Fonzie.
