It was more of a mixture of "least" hated, forgettable, and just nobody cares about it.
Was, as it's outdated like the other Anon says. If it were done again it wouldn't last until the end a second time.

Although it won't win, it's probably my favorite cross-gen evolution. It made an otherwise unassuming Pokémon into the most badass bouquet I've ever seen.

What retard logic is this? If anything as the generations pass they become more and more useful.

Pidgeot: Complete ass, outclassed in every way by both Fearow and Dodrio in its generation
Noctowl: Also pretty bad, but it learns Hypnosis and a couple of Psychic attacks which can give it some niche on an early team.
Swellow: Fast as fuck and workable attack, Guts is amazing
Staraptor: Fast, hits like a truck, is somewhat bulky, and learns fucking Close Combat of all things for coverage
Unfezzant: Admittedly pretty shit compared to Swellow or Staraptor, but it's at least better than Pidgeot or Noctowl
Talonflame: Fucking Gale Wings, enough said.

As much as I hate Smogonbird, as an in game mon even without Gale Wings its pretty respectable (though Kalos doesn't really lack for fire types either)
