My dad was in the Air Force. I've lived in almost 10 states and England for a few years each, that's way more than most Americans. Alaska was easily the best place of the bunch, probably only beat by Massachusetts. It was also pretty diverse in terms of landscape.

It's such a dumb foreigner idea that all of Alaska is a giant ice block. It has tundras, plains, forests, rivers, lakes, icebergs, mountains, valleys, cliffs, canyons, etc. During the summer it can get very hot. During fall it gets rainy, not snowy. There are times of the year where there's only daylight for a few hours a day. It's very cool.

You've never been there. It's a great place. Much better than your shithole I'm sure. The high suicide rate is attributed to the low population density (isolationism is correlated with depression). Add some SAD (Seasonal affective disorder) and it's the perfect formula for high suicide.

I honestly really had in mind a sort of spin-off in the vein of Colosseum; still with gyms but a lot more of them and a lot more minigames because hey, it's Vegas. You could have Sky Battles on the Stratosphere casino roller coaster.

Southwest PA, or all of Western PA. The city based on Pittsburgh has sports domes type things, and obviously a Steel gym. Could even break Pittsburgh up into two areas, one as above, and then another city that is focused around hospitals and universities. Some mountain areas, lots of woods/forests. Another major city in the south. A once large town that is now mostly abandoned (Butler) up north, and even further north a decent sized city on a large body of water. To the west you have a few small towns, and lots of wide open routes. Maybe even go as far west as central PA and hit another town based around a university that has a rivalry with the other university town, and some dark secrets (that GF somehow has to figure out a way to make E).
