Something about Solgaleo looks really off. I think it's the visor. It makes it look too robotic for me.

I love these legends, i usually hate bipedal legends like raikou, entei, suicune, but solgaleo is a realy good legend. If you look at his official artwork on the pokemon site he looks realy cool, like his whole body just emnates and projects power and dominance

I would agree if they weren't so fucking over-detailed. Solgaleo's hind legs, stomach and tail are really fucking ugly and I would actually be able to look at Lunaala without cringing if it didn't have those humongous gold ornaments hanging from the tips of its wing. I mean come the fuck on, Lunaala would have been 1000% better if it at LEAST didn't have the two golden shoehorns at the top and some proper fucking legs.

These are the first legendaries to have an actual feeling of divinity to them. Solgaleo definitely has a Zoids feel to it, but I still see it as an ancient god more than a machine. The gold around it and Lunaala's face reminds me of Arceus's gold "chain".

Disagree. Assuming we start with GS where the box legend trend started, these are probably somewhere in the middle. XY were quite good and the third version legends tend to be some of the best (Rayquaza and Origin Giratina)

I'm surprised it's taken them this long to create sun and moon legends (we've had cresilia, but she's specifically the /crescent/ moon)

I just wish it wasn't a lion for the sun. We already have a fire lion and I can't stop thinking of firamon (pic related) who evolves into apollomon (aka: the god of the sun)

Mewtwo's good, but I'd argue that a lot of gen1 was UNDERdesigned. It was the gen of simple round pink things:

That's 1 out of 15 pokemon that made it into gen one. In an interview with Shigeki Morimoto, he confirmed that there were originally going to be 190 Pokémon in Generation I. There wasn't enough room for them though, they had to cut the number to 151 and save the rest for gen 2. They passed up scizor and sneasel for these guys. Heracross and skarmory were designed before jigglypuff and wigglytuff, but they decided they needed more pink blobs.
