I think at best there was a duality between Cresselia and Darkrai where Cresselia was a crescent/full moon in general and Darkrai was a new moon but who even knows if that's what they were going for and they are otherwise totally unrelated in every respect. Pokemon has never done sun/moon except with Solrock and Lunatone
