I love both the region and starters

I don't know, if there are some good beach routes I'll be okay with it. I liked the beach areas in Unova over anything in Hoenn funnily enough.

I want to like the region but I live in Hawaii and my hate for it is coloring my opinion on fantasyHawaii.

The region is fucking small. I hope there will be more islands.

I don't know if I say I "hate" it, but besides Johto no region has been this explicitly rooted in its basis. Kalos was kind of getting there but it was still generic enough. Everything so far about Alola is explicitly Hawaiian though, down to having yellow firetrucks.

The "relaxed island life" or "aloha attitude," mostly. That's well and good for tourists on Waikiki, but for people living here it means living somewhere where no one cares. You want to buy something? Sorry, the cashier's friend is here and they'll talk for 20 minutes at the counter. Need the cale guy to come by and do repairs? Sorry cousin, not today with no reason given. That's just a basic example, but no matter where you go all "professionals" are lazy as fuck.

I'm sure a lot of places are like that but since I've lived here all my life it's all I really have to go off

Not to mention how expensive everything is because of imports.
