I wouldn't mind if they were a bit more colorful but its never been a huge issue for me. On the whole, I think Gen 6 looks great, it just runs like chunky peanut butter.

Did you guys play Gen 5 on a 3DS(XL) or something?

I don't remember the pixelation being terrible when I played on a regular DS, so maybe the complains people have about the sprites come from playing it on the 3DS with the screen stretched out.

Just made differently from Gen 4's sprites. They had to show the whole Pokemon rather than just the top of them and also animate them, so DP/Pl's style wouldn't work. I like them.
