I have for a long time, just because it's quicker to type, especially when when I'm using the word repeatedly in discussion. It's a fucking shortening of a word and it happens all the time. I don't go around challenging people to a "Mon Battle", I just use it when I don't feel like typing out Pokemon for the billionth time in a week. Deal with it.

In the Pokemon universe that's what they were always called until Pokeballs were invented, if we're going by the Arceus movie anyway.

And trainer sounds lame compared to "magical creature user/tamer", we should use that instead too.
