Sorry about asking this question, but it's been keeping me awake all night and I desperately need to know the answer. When Grass type Pokémon fart, do they release oxygen or methane?

Pokémon don't have assholes

If they eat they must poop too. So they must have an asshole. Unless they poop through their mouths, in which case their burps and their farts are indistinguishable.

Most Grass types look like symbiotic beings rather than singular organisms, so the if the animal part farts its probably methane.
Plants don't fart.

The food is disintegrated in their bodies. It doesn't need to be pooped out. They don't even really need to eat since they're digital. The only times they eat in the game are to increase stats or heal. If they can be stored in a PC and be sent anywhere electronically, they're clearly digital.

This gif is disgusting
Everyone knows that Tropius only like to eat one kind of fruit, and that will end up growing from their neck.
This Tropius clearly only eats bananas, but has been forced by its handlers to eat the red fruit from this branch here. You can see the look of contempt it has as it stares past the camera, most likely to the one commanding it.
This is Pokemon abuse.

Depends on the pokemon.
The ones that are almost entirely plant (Victreebel, Ferrothorn, etc) produce oxygen. The ones who are mostly animal (Chestnaught, Sawsbuck, etc) produce methane. The ones who are roughly half and half (Venusaur, Sceptile, etc) produce both.
