The problem is people get hyped for some deluge of information like every corocoro is going to reveal a new feature like how Megas were big news, when most of the time what we get is a few important plot pokemon or some character art, or maybe a few early-mid game route mons. Especially for these early months the news is going to be bare and stretched out over months, such as Magearna being revealed one month then followed the next with typing.

I'm expecting a reveal like Mega Mewtwo or Sylveon. "Here's a pokemon. What does it do? Stay tuned." And I'm fine with that.

The problem is hype season breeds the kind of speculation and leaks that causes the gen 6.5/gen 7 shitposting and the constant owl vs. fake faggotry and when Corocoro this month doesn't confirm region, starters, legends, Zygarde's involvement, mega flygon, etc. we'll have the usual "WOW IT'S FUCKING NOTHING" and "DEVELOPMENT STARTED IN FEBRUARY. GAME IS RUSHED LIKE ORAS" fearmongering. We could get good info, it'll be a pleasant surprise, but considering our first real look at ORAS was at E3 2014 and in 2013 we got news on fairies and another trailer, and since Nintendo doesn't seem to have much else to talk about, I'm willing to bet info will come then before drying up a couple of months until things ramp up around August.

It's not worth getting as worked up as /vp/ always does.

Like, people just seem to forget that any months before or (sometimes) after Summer, it's "trivial" and minor warm up. Like, I just saw a Anon seem so scorned and claiming it's "fukkin nil" because they wanted Starters, Region, PC, Legends, Gameplay Screenshots, and Mechanic sneak peeks.

...Just...what? I can only recall one issue doing that, and it would have counted as "fukkin nil lol".

I really get what they're saying and it sucks...but they've brought it mostly on them. Again, 10/10 post.
