I took the test three times, changing it up a bit, and got INTP every time.

Emotions/feelings are just a set of logic restricted by perspective in both understanding and expression.

People (including myself) are just complex input-output machines. Give the right input, and you'll get the output you want. Just like the human body is just a glorified thinking suit around a poop tube, so too are people's interactions and decisions based on an internal set of 'logic' (no insult; it's just logic as a method as compared to a standard) that (should) make perfect sense to them, but sometimes seem strange to others.

When you can understand the causes and methods of emotions, you can do a lot more than just emotionally connect with people.

Empathy is one of my strongest traits (chalk it up to me being a big softie if you want) and being able to put yourself in other people's shoes is the most useful tool in interacting with other people.

Say someone is !sad upset. Do they want to have someone to listen to them? Do they want to work through it with you? Do they want help understanding it themselves? Or do they just want a (metaphorical and literal) shoulder to cry on/person to vent to. Picking up on these (or at worst just asking) is better for every involved party. Saves both of you time, increases your standing with them, allows you to either harden or soften your feelings depending on the context of what the upset person wants.

This test seems like such malarkey. I've randomly taken it a few times over the past 4 years for random reasons, and while the IN stays the same most of the time, because I'm a miserable shut in, I've bounced between INTP and INTJ and INFP and INFJ. Someone earlier put it well in that you can't really ever get a perfect measure on it because of your projecting an idea about how you are that may not be entirely accurate. Plus the spectrum of strongly agree to strongly disagree can throw it off. This test seems inherently flawed.

Huh. I used to be an extremely consistent INTJ at these tests before I started going to my psychologist. After months of therapy, and finally coming to the realization that I used logic and facts too much to shield myself from the hurtful social experiences I had had in my childhood, I started appreciating people a lot more, and it really shows: I am now getting INFJ.

While I do think it's majorly bullshit, there's also the fact that every type has its own unhealthy form of itself, where you let each of the letters, representing the cognitive types, go towards the extreme and throw your life out of balance. If you don't live your life around labels, you won't care about the labels others put on you.
